Quality Control
Montrose Travel is adamant about accuracy, attention to detail, and sheer efficiency. As a result we have implemented Cornerstone, a fully automated quality control system. Because of the experience we have in customizing our programming tools to the needs of our clients, we are confident we will be able to deliver a quality, mistake-free product.
A missing seat assignment is not just an inconvenience; it could subject your travelers to denied boarding and cause a missed meeting or appointment. Likewise, when you arrive at your destination, it is crucial that your car and/or hotel reservations are accurately confirmed for the correct day, time, and city. As the travel process becomes more complex, we recognize the need for new, more comprehensive methods of reviewing reservations. For this reason, both automated and manual quality control procedures are in place.
We use a suite of modules that automates the processing and auditing of all aspects of travel management including: constant lower fare searches for already booked tickets; 150 pre-ticketing quality control checks for reservation integrity and written travel policy compliance; unused e-ticket usage tracking; preferred vendor agreements; and traveler preferences which include waitlist clearance, preferred seat assignments using live seat maps, and automatic frequent flyer upgrades at the exact applicable time.
Pre-Trip Evaluation
Fare Checker
Accesses the reservation system for up-to-the-second pricing for fare increases or decreases on ticketed reservations up until the time of travel. Reservations with re-pricing opportunities are noted and returned for re-booking/ticketing. Fare Checker audits multiple Air Tariff Fare Quote fields with associated modifiers, international, government, and negotiated fares. Reservations are rechecked daily up to time of departure, ensuring the traveler the lowest possible fare at time of travel and within your travel policy.
Routing Checker
Reservations are audited for substitute routings and carriers that yield savings and occur within defined parameters, such as total travel and connection times. By continually conducting hard-to-find routing searches, Routing Checker frees our agents to focus on service. Routing Checker processes both domestic and international pricing and processes complex itineraries while considering Private Fares (your negotiated fares) and your written travel policy options.
GlobalFares
By combining several extraordinarily powerful tools into one, GlobalFares gives our agents confidence that they are quoting the best fares available at the time of request. The GlobalFares comprehensive database (consisting of millions of published, non-published, and negotiated fares that are updated several times a day), Fare Quote, Fare and Schedule Display, PrivateFares, and BestBuyQuote ($BBQ) all combine in our internal network to search every available booking class and applicable fare combination to always provide the lowest quote for which the traveler is booked.
Seat Checker
Secures preferred seating on domestic and international airlines using live seat maps when available. Seat requests can be made for aisles, windows, right or left side of plane, priority (frequent flyer memberships), front and back of plane, bulkhead and aisles across. Seat Checker's powerful logic allows our agents to process multiple passengers per Personal Name Record (PNR) while maintaining secured preferred seats and connecting two travelers on separate records for aisles across (when seats are available). Seat Checker can be used for initial seat assignments on all reservations as well as improving seat assignments up until time of departure.
Waitlist Checker
Automates the process of securing either preferred or waitlist segments by continually accessing our computer reservation system looking for cancellations, open waitlists, or the release of inventory by the carrier. If a waitlist check identifies availability, the booking is made and communicated back to our agent.
Upgrade Checker
Automates the securing of frequent flyer upgrades based on the traveler's program status by working 24/7 to upgrade travelers to their preferred class at the required time before departure, regardless of the time of day and day of week.
Quality Control Processing
ResQCX
A comprehensive quality control travel management system, our ResQCX is designed to increase productivity and better manage the reservation process. The ResQCX integrated modules automate the processing and auditing of all aspects of travel management including quality control and management reporting, travel compliance, preferred vendor agreements, and traveler preferences.
"QC Manager" performs multiple tasks that are necessary to ensure Personal Name Record (PNR) integrity and compliance for a cost effective, quality trip. Additionally, it compares booked reservations to a user-defined profile of more than 150 quality control checks.
In addition to the quality control process, Data Capture harvests PNR elements to a set of 7 ODBC compliant log files. Available data includes all air, car, hotel, train and other travel related information, along with agent and ticketing remarks, Air Tariff Fare Quote and pricing information. Data Capture's pre-travel reporting is facilitated via a batch reporting process that allows users to run both individual reports and pre-defined company report sets. Delivery of reports can be scheduled to send automatically via e-mail or fax.
Customization
Scriptwriter Plus and Custom Check
Allows complete customization of the reservation processes. Montrose Travel's experienced Scriptwriter programmers have customized the booking process for many corporate accounts.
In addition to Scriptwriter Plus, Montrose Travel also uses a program called Custom Check, a powerful database of dynamic point-of-sale quality control rules that automatically makes sure every PNR complies with both our agency and customer business standards and practices. Montrose Travel's staff has considerable experience with programming and writing Custom Check rules.
PrivateFares
Automates the negotiated fare process. For any of your negotiated fare contracts, Montrose Travel has the ability to load fares, rules, and designators directly into our system databases to maximize accuracy, productivity and use of negotiated fares. We also have experience filing negotiated fares directly through ATPCo. (Airline Tariff Publishing Company), the organization that files all published and tariff airfares for the airlines. This enables us to bring them directly into our reservation systems to act as an actual published fare. (We were the second travel agency in the United States to privately file our negotiated fares through ATPCo.)
